SATURDAY APRIL 30, 2005 11AM!!!

HARLEM SHAKE BURLESQUE is auditioning female and male dancers who are interested in capturing the essence of a time forgotten while giving an unforgettable performance! As the only existing African American Burlesque Troupe in the country at this time, HARLEM SHAKE BURLESQUEis indeed "changing history one shake at a time!"

Come show us that you've got what it takes to make a proud, sassy, seductive, yet artistic statement that reflects the performances that amazed Burlesque and Vaudeville audiences back in the day!

HARLEM SHAKE BURLESQUE seeks those who:
~Are strong dancers! Official training required; however, the ability to learn choreography and retain it IS required.
~Are able to attend rehearsals twice a week as well as perform shows, attend photo shoots, etc.
~Have the ability to travel outside of the Bay Area for performances; including out of state and internationally.
~Have the ability to represent HARLEM SHAKE BURLESQUE in a
professional manner
~Can work well with others, wants to be part of a group and knows how to HAVE FUN!!!

PLEASE PREPARE A 2-MIN MAX. BURLESQUE PIECE OR CONCEPT WITH CONSIDERATION OF COSTUMES AND PROPS.

Please wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to move, as there will be a warm up before you show your pieces. If you are called back, we may ask you to sing a verse or two so be ready!!!
